Uploading PowerPoint Shows into Blackboard

I had an instructor ask me how they could put a Powerpoint file into Blackboard without the student being able to edit it.  There are two ways to do this.

1.  In Powerpoint, save the file as  PPS or PPSX file format.  this is the Powerpoint SHOW format.  When you upload the PPS or PPSX file to Blackboard (or any other LMS) the student will view it as any other Powerpoint you might show them int he classroom.

2.  Use iSpringFree to convert your Powerpoint presentation to a Flash file, complete with any audio and animations you may have in the presentation.  You then upload the Flash file to your Blackboard class, and the student views it as they would any other Flash file.  You can download iSpringFree by clicking here.
