I guess 2015 may be a new year, but the scam artists are still up to their old tricks.  Read about this one today.  First things first:  Microsoft NEVER calls you to ask if you are having problems with something.  That would cost them money.  They like to charge $30 an hour for you to call and ask how to turn the monitor on, so they are NOT gonna call you for free.

Second, if someone you don’t know calls and starts asking about your personal devices, get a phone number, and ask to call them back.  Don’t trust a cold calling tech support person.  It doesn’t happen.
