Microsoft sends Internet Explorer to tech’s scrapheap

It’s official…Internet Explorer is toast.  Microsoft has apparently not set a firm date for when the browser will go bye bye, but if I were an Internet Explorer user, I would go out and download the latest version if you intend to keep using it, which I wouldn’t.

The problem with using any computer/web application after it has been deep sixed is that you do not get updates, and the products are no longer supported.  So you never know if it is working properly.

Read the article below, and check out this link to view what browsers are most commonly used.   This will help you determine how to design your websites.  Also, if you use a web browser for any major application, like say a Learning Management System, you may want to check with the provider to see how they plan on addressing this announcement.
