Stop skimmers from stealing your money

I know you get tired of reading about how technology can screw you.  But you really have to stay on top of how they are ripping you off.  Unfortunately, skimmers are a way scammers can take your money anywhere you can slide a credit or debit card…even at your local bank ATM.  It’s scary, but it’s true.  Are there ways to beat skimmers?  Yes.  One one is the new chipped card.  You may even have one yourself.  But just as sure as you are reading this, someone will find a way to beat the chipped card and separate you from your hard-earned cash and you credit rating.

So educate yourself on this method of taking your money, and always be aware.

Cybersecurity alert: Grinch lurks in e-shopping

Online shopping for Christmas is in full swing, and so is online credit card theft.  You never know when someone will spread THEIR version of Christmas cheer, by allowing YOU to pay for their shopping sprees, and more.  The six items listed in the article are most helpful.  I would add one additional item:  If you are gonna be shopping online, you might want to consider using a prepaid credit card.
